 Empowering Families complements primary medical care and does not replace the role of your family doctor or pediatrician. During visits, our nurse provides education, resources, and assessments based on information provided by the family. It's important to note that our nurses do not conduct physical assessments of family members. Our focus is on providing supportive education and guidance to empower families in their parenting journey alongside their existing medical care providers. 

Yes, we serve families of all types without any restrictions based on income or the number of visits families choose to sign up for. Empowering Families is dedicated to supporting a wide range of family structures, including:

Our goal is to provide inclusive, non-judgmental education and support to all families, helping them navigate their unique parenting journeys with confidence and empowerment.

Initially, clients are referred or sign up through the Empowering Families LLC website under the "Bookings" section. They choose from options such as a generalized consultation, package, or class. Clients select whether they prefer virtual (phone or video) sessions or in-person visits at their home or another location of their choice, and pick a date and time that suits them and their nurse.

Once booked, clients receive confirmation via email and text messages. They then complete an agreement form, consenting to services and confirming their chosen consultation. Subsequently, they receive an "Intake form" where they specify their specific needs and topics they wish to address during the visit. This customization ensures that the session focuses on what matters most to the family.

On the scheduled day, the nurse either sends a virtual meeting invitation or arrives at the agreed-upon location. The nurse engages with the family by asking pertinent questions and, most importantly, listening to their concerns and priorities. Depending on the assessment, the nurse may check vital signs like blood pressure, weight, or the child's weight, provide recommendations, offer reassurance, practical assistance, and referrals aligned with the consultation topic and discussion.

After the visit, clients receive educational materials, curriculum resources, and referrals to support them in implementing strategies that suit their family's needs and preferences. 

Empowering Families encourages clients to maintain their normal routines while integrating newfound knowledge and strategies.

1. Sliding Scale Fees: Our organizations offer sliding scale fees based on your income level. This means the cost of the consultation could be adjusted to fit within your financial means.
